From Patterns to Possibilities: My Quilting Evolution
Diana shares her creative journey from traditional quilting to innovative art quilts. Diana’s strength lies in her innovative and fresh approach to creating, as well as sharing, stories and laughs. She hopes to motivate and inspire others to ask, “What if?” Quilts and the stories behind them are shared through a PowerPoint presentation, followed by an informal Q&A session. Depending on availability, approximately 20 quilts will be shown during the lecture.
Workshops Offered
Hang It Like You Mean It: Finishing Your Wall Quilt
Learn how to give your wall quilts a clean, professional finish using four different techniques, including invisible facings and secure hanging sleeves. Whether traditional or artful, your quilt will hang flat, straight, and display-ready.
IMPROV! Lines, Circles, Curves - OH MY!!
Leave your ruler at home and have fun learning improvisational cutting and piecing techniques. Class participants will create lines of different widths, learn a set-in circle, and discover how to piece curves. Participants will need to have advanced-beginner to intermediate sewing skills and must be familiar with their sewing machine.
Tree Rings - taught as a 1 through 5-day class
1-day class:
Get ready to combine unique fabrics into round-ish blocks using raw-edge appliqué to represent the growth of nature’s grandest marvels. Embellish and add detail with thread and your imagination. Finish by combining the blocks into unique, mounted wall art. Your supply kit will contain enough materials to complete a trio of rings.
5-day class:
Get ready to combine unique fabrics into round-ish blocks using raw-edge appliqué to represent the growth of nature’s grandest marvels. Embellish and add detail with thread and your imagination. Finish by combining the blocks into a unique, completed artwork roughly 30” x 40”. This workshop is about letting your creativity flow freely, and I’m here to support you as your one-of-a-kind design comes to light.
Learn Easy Free Motion Quilting Patterns
Free-motion quilting can take your quilts from ordinary to spectacular. This class will help you learn how to free-motion quilt five different patterns, and you will leave this class with confidence to apply your new skills to your quilts.
We will begin by creating a small quilt top, which we will then use to practice various quilting patterns. Participants should have beginner to intermediate sewing skills and must be familiar with their sewing machine.

“Such a great presentation and you had our ladies’ interest from the beginning
and all the way through. Your quilt journey was very relatable to us as quilters and its interesting to see how far you’ve taken yours. And comments
afterwards were that they loved, loved, loved your work.”
